Our MUSEUM grade trousers are made from 100 % wool. MACHINE SEWN on all major seams with a PERIOD 1862 Wilcox and Gibbs* sewing machine. It doesn't get more authentic than that! They come in your choice of William Deering or Schuylkill Arsenal patterns complete with correct size and makers stamps.

They are HAND SEWN ON ALL VISIBLE AREAS including all internal facings, waistbands, pockets, watch pocket AND cuff.   They also feature handsewn buttonholes and handsewn rear tie-back grommet holes. The cuffs are rolled and hand-hemmed. Trousers are appropriately stamped with maker identification as well as sizing stamp as shown in detail photos below.

* See our documentation page for information on the Wilcox and Gibbs sewing machine.

PLEASE NOTE: To insure the best fit, the waist measurements on this website are considered "WAIST MEASUREMENT AT NAVEL LEVEL" (that high up). This is not necessarily the same waist size found on your blue jean size tags. ALWAYS double check your waist size at that height with a tape measure to insure the trousers you order will fit satisfactorily.

You are responsible for providing correct measurements. Provisional Supply will only exchange garments that are not made to the measurements provided.

ALSO, waist sizes given are with the rear waistband split closed. If the waistband split is opened, there is usually a gain of at least one inch more to the waist size given.

Delivery time on these trousers is approximately 4 - 6 weeks.
