Supply is extremely proud to offer you this Federal enlisted
frock coat.
Our coats are based on and copied from the most common
surviving examples from museums, private collections
and descriptions from the Revised U.S. Army Regulations of
1861 Article LI subsection 1454*.(See Documentation Page)
Our coats feature:
1. Outstanding dark blue broadcloth with narrow
(1/8") service branch piping on cuffs and collar. Sky blue for
Infantry, Yellow for Engineer, Red for Artillery, and Crimson
for Ordnance and Hospital stewards.
2. Our coats feature quilted breast lining of black polished
cotton and sleeve linings of cotton muslin.
3. Hand sewn button holes.
4. Hand sewn lining sleeves to the lining body (armscye).
5. Sleeve cuffs are functional with a two button closure and
the edge of the cuff is piped.
6. There are two functional glove pockets inside the
skirt.
7. 100% cotton threading.
8. Correct 3/4" general service buttons with correct 5/8"
buttons on the cuff from the Waterbury Button Company.
Waterbury Company provided the buttons during the war.
9. All our coats come with the buttons sewn on.
